Another week comes in and after the ladies win against Stenhousemuir we where keen to get an inside view of the game from our captain Ellie.
Q: The result against Stenhousemuir was exactly what we needed to bounce back from our defeat against Dundee city west, what where the teams thoughts going into the game where you confident you would manage to get the win ?
A: After our defeat we went back to training, worked on what we felt needed improved and kept standards high. As a result, going into the game we were full of confidence and knew we could get the win. We bounced back stronger and it showed with the score line.
Q: What did you feel the team done on the park better this weekend that they didn’t do in the Dundee city west game to secure the win ?
A: I think that in the game we just clicked better as a team. Our movement on and off the ball was done with purpose, we all worked for each other and gave everything. As a team we went out on the pitch with belief, confidence, and a desire to get the win.
I am really proud of the performance we gave, it just shows the resilience and determination we have as a squad.
Q: Back to the league this weekend against East Fife, what do you think the team needs to do to keep the good results coming and grab our first back to back winning streak ?
A: Every time the team steps on the pitch we have to give it our all. As a squad we have to keep the same confidence, belief, and desire to win games and get the results we want.
As long as we keep working hard at training and setting high standards for ourselves then the results will follow suit.
